The death occurred when immigration officials accompanying him forcibly restrained him using handcuffs, towels, and personal zip ties, which are not permitted by regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To uncover the truth behind Suraj&#039;s death, we filed a lawsuit on August 5, 2010, seeking damages from the government and immigration officials. Suraj regretted overstaying his visa and only wished to live in Japan with his wife.
